Rockin has been a very big fan of the Beatles and John Lennon. The song Jealous Guy I would rate as one of the best response to insecurities and bad behavoiur of a lover, love song that has been written.
Jealous Guy as a Cover
I have listened to various covers and versions and have been inspired by Daniel Caesar's version that was played on BBC 1Xtra Live Lounge.
Listening to Daniel Caesar, I realised this would be a good version for us to play. With two guitars, one acoustic guitar and the second an over driven electric guitar, Perfect!
I suggested the song to Warren and his response was excitement. He thought because it was John Lennon that I would sing it, but no I didn’t want to sing it, I wanted to put my efforts into playing all of the guitar phrases throughout the song.
Live Version
This is our attempt at this wonderful song. We played this live at Wyandotte Inn on the Stoneleigh Rd, Kenilworth. So it comes with warts and all.It was a great night at the Wyandotte with an amazing crowd and atmosphere.
